Michael Bryan - Director of Fundraising

Michael has grown up on the soccer field, both as a player and as a certified coach. With a special interest in child development, he brings his passion for sports and developing children’s potential to Freekicks. Michael sees Freekicks as an opportunity to help children reach for their dreams by providing them with an opportunity to bring lessons learned on the pitch into all parts of their lives. When not involved in soccer, Michael is a dedicated dad to his three children and works in the medical community.

Jo-Ann Bateman - Director of Communication

Jo-Ann is passionate about all things Africa.  Having spent several weeks in Uganda in 2013 volunteering at a boys home, Jo-Ann quickly realized how important soccer is in the lives of the kids she spent time (and fell in love) with.  Soccer, for kids in Africa provides an incredible sense of hope.  Upon returning from Uganda, Jo-Ann sought out a local group to help develop soccer in Africa, and she connected with Adam.   Jo-Ann plans to return to Uganda again in January 2015 for a few months.  When not volunteering with Freekicks, Jo-Ann works in Marketing in Sport Medicine and enjoys running, riding her mountain bike and spending time outside.
